Kamael Luxord, or "Hitsuguya" to his closest friends, was once a prince of an unknown kingdom, he was taken in by Keitaro Kanashi to be raised as his own. Kamael is known to have quite a humorous personality and doesn't take much seriously. He's the only person to break through Vaerith's cold exterior and many state that Vaerith is a completely different person when around Kamael.

Kamael lost his right eye long ago as a child due to an assassination attempt on him by a cousin that wanted to become heir. Kamael was determined dead, and his kingdom and family wept for him. Little did they know that Keitaro Kanashi had abducted the boy and replaced him with another after the failed attempt. Keitaro would some how be able to rescue Kamael from death, but was unable to save Kamael's vision.

He gave Kamael an eyepatch that was stated to never be able to be removed, Kamael attempted time and time again to prove that statement wrong, but the eyepatch never left it's spot upon his face.

Kamael, alongside Aylah was the glue that held Keitaro's apprentices together. Vaerith lacked massively in his social life and thus had a hard time talking to others, while Quin'tiel was extremely quiet and cold.
