Keitaro Kanashi, better known as "The White Death", was once considered the deadliest assassin Aurelium had ever seen. Stated to have killed no less than several hundred thousand targets within his lifetime, he was once the figurehead of the Kanashi Clan.

This changed when Keitaro decided to go even farther into the darkness then the Kanashi Clan was willing to go. He bonded and devoured hundreds of spirits in an attempt to become even stronger, an event that would forever shake the Kanashi Clan as soul after soul was forcibly plucked out of their grasp and became one with Keitaro.

This event would also forever change Keitaro. It is said that when a member of the Kanashi clan absorbs a spirit of the afterlife, they gain the memories of whom the spirit once was. Since that day he forever worked towards a goal that he stated, "No one will understand until the day comes."

He would later join Caerrum Astra and take several children under his wing in order to train. Each having their own role that he decided for them. Vaerith Xylvarus, his "Blade That Will Pierce the Heavens." Kamael Luxord, his "Eye That Shall Reveal The Way." Aylah, his "Heart That Will Guide." And Quin'tiel, his, "Brain That Will Understand."

He would eventually be killed by Vaerith Xylvarus in his attempt to defend Kamael Luxord in one of Keitaro's fits of rage after Aylah's death.
