Verelyn

"Higher Than Pride, Lower Than Justice"

The Kingdom of Verelyn, otherwise known as the Land of Chivalry, is based within the mountainous region bordering Xeilias, where Mount Solun is located. Due to the mountains that surround Verelyn, alongside the hills and mountains that sprinkle throughout it, Verelyn is known to be unattackable to an outside threat.

The only way into Verelyn is through the Valley of Blood, a fitting name for Verelyn's entrance due to the countless wars that have been ended there due to it's powerful defenses.

Verelyn is ruled by House Vysoren, one of the three major families that can directly show lineage to "The Falcon King" who once united the clans of Verelyn in order to form it. This has caused many issues between the three families as there is a constant battle of intrigue and subterfuge to take control. Fortunately for House Vysoren, they have always had the complete loyalty of House Isolde, the greatest house outside of the three, and the house most favored by the commonfolk.

Currently, Aelius Vysoren, or "The Gilded Falcon" is ruling as Verelyn's king. He is a man met with either love or hate from nobles and commoners alike, but none have been able to unseat him due to his reputation, ruthlessness, and kindness when it's needed.
