Xaerathyl was Khaerysul's sentinel, sworn to guard the skies. During the war, a rogue Godspawn wielding a Divine Spark—manipulated by the gods—challenged Kaelvasir's existence, attempting to collapse it into the Void.

Xaerathyl faced the Sparkbearer alone in the upper reaches of the city. The battle lasted days, splitting sky from night. In the end, Xaerathyl used Duskglaive to sever the godspawn from their Spark—but was mortally wounded in the process.

His body was never recovered. Some say he fused with the city's core, becoming the first living anchor of Kaelvasir.

Legacy: His tactics are still studied by surviving Kestari—his ghost rumored to walk Caerwyn.
